Don't Judge A Book (or Glassblowing Mold) by its cover!

Posted on August 20, 2016 by Tony Patti

Earlier this month, on eBay, I purchased a 40-rib glassblowing fin mold attributed to Tiffin Glass Company.

Tiffin’s furnaces were turned off in 1980, so you can imagine after 35 years in storage the molds might be a bit dirty, and needed to be cleaned before being used for glassblowing again.

But I NEVER expected such a dramatic transformation! See the before-and-after photos below!
