| Artist Information Katie Creyts - Katie Creyts’ work reflects her interest in a metaphoric space of storytelling. Using a variety of glass techniques she has acquired through working in glass art production and experimentation along with mixed media, she presents a new twist on an old tale. Her artistic endeavors have afforded her scholarships for study at Pilchuck Glass School, The Corning Museum of Glass, Pittsburgh Glass Center and The Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture. Her most recent exhibitions include the Art of the State, at the Pennsylvania State Museum in Harrisburg and the Women and Glass Exhibition at Flame Run Gallery in Louisville, Kentucky. Creyts has earned her BFA from Tyler School of Art (’93) and is working towards her MFA from Illinois State University (’07). | |||
