| Additional Information: Making Glass LLC is a 4500 square foot community access glass blowing studio and gallery. Founded by Daniel N. Marder, an experienced, internationally recognized artist and former University instructor, The studio is Located at 1490 Old Deerfield Road (Unit 18) Highland Park, IL 60035 (in the Old Deerfield Road Business Center). Making Glass LLC provides instruction through private lessons and classes in glass blowing, torch working, cold working, fusing and casting. Hot shop rentals for students and experienced glass workers and students are also offered. The Making Glass Gallery features art glass objects made by emerging and known artists, many created on the premises. | Artist Information DanielN. Marder (Owner Making Glass LLC) - Daniel N. Marder, a native of Highland Park, IL has been an exhibiting artist in various media since age 12. He has more than ten years of university teaching experience. From neon bending and torch work, to off-hand blowing, kiln/direct casting, and cold working glass. Marder is a master of glass process. Also he is well versed in other fire arts such as cerami Marder's education includes a BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL, an MFA from Temple University, Tyler Campus, Elkins Park, PA, as well as studies at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL, Ox Bow in Saugatuck, MI, The Institute of Daniel shares his vast catalogue of process experience by teaching everything from equipment building to bead making at Making Glass, LLC.
