Greetings from East Falls Glassworks. There are many special events and
class offerings that we wanted to share with the community.

East Falls Glassworks will be holding a studio open-house on both
Saturday and Sunday, Oct 7th and 8th. We are participating in POST, the
Philadelphia Open Studio Tours. This will be a particularly good day to
visit Sherman Mills since there will be at least 16 other open studios
for people to visit. Both galleries in the complex will have openings as
well. You can find some more information, including a list of the
participating artists on the Sherman Mills Arts
<http://shermanmillsarts.com> home page.

There is an 8 week Intermediate class starting next Thursday with a few
spots remaining. If you've been through our Intro I and Intro II and
would like to work on refining your technique, this would be an
excellent class. Emphasis will be on hands-on time and skill building
exercises. You can see more information about this class on our class
information page <http://www.eastfallsglass.com/classes.php>.

We are pleased to announce that Maestro Elio Quarisa will be returning
to teach an Advanced Venetian Techniques workshop the week starting
February 19th. This will be a longer class than last time, it will run
through Saturday, with a half day on Wednesday. The class will be
intensive with about 4 hours of demonstrations followed by 4 hours of
supervision, then a few hours of free practice time. We are still
working out all the details for the class, price will be around $750.
The class information has not yet been published on the web site, we
wanted to give our community advance notice so you can put it on your
calendars. If you are interested in this class, please send us email so
we can put you on the list. We took lots of pictures during Elio's last
class here. <http://www.eastfallsglass.com/elio.php>

If you visit the East Falls Glassworks website
<http://www.eastfallsglass.com>, you should notice some recent changes.
We have cleaned up the look of the site and added online registration
for classes. If you have any ideas for ways to further improve the web
site, we'd love to hear from you. We would like this site to be a
valuable resource for the glassblowing and glass loving community.

Thanks
-jon
