Here is a nice inexpensive way to melt glass if you are going to start up
a small glass shop or a good way to melt color pots for quick color overlays
.It is an AIM #1715C crucible kiln advertised for use with up to an 80 lb
crucible. It has been my experience that it works better with a slightly
smaller crucible so this one comes with a 50 lb crucible.

The inside is 15 " deep and 17 " across and there are a few chips out of the
bricks from where glass has splattered onto them and then was removed when I
replaced the elements. A set of elements usually last about 3 months with a
50 lb crucible if you run it 24 / 7 for that long a period.

It doesn't have a very fancy controller as it is easiest to just take it up
to temperature manually over a period of a couple days gradually after
seasoning the elements .It needs elements installed at the present time and
I have a new set of factory made elements for it that go with it along with
the crucible .PREPAID Local pick up only unless you are willing to make
arrangements for a shipper to come here and pick it up.

The handle arrangement I made that you see allows you to put a longer rod
into it for better leverage and you can hook a counterweight and pulley
system to it if you like to raise it ands hold it if you want to . I have a
newer larger one and am not going to use both of them so I figured I would
let someone else have a good deal on this one.

New they retail for right at $1050 plus shipping and the cost of the
crucible (about $300 ). I'll even throw in a 50 pound bag of glass cullet
for you to get started with .96 COE Glass .Payment is required immediately
upon purchase .I am located about 7 miles north of Lancaster , Pa just a few
blocks off route 222 north between Lancaster and Reading , Pa. in
Brownstown, PA 17508.

Enjoy,

Tony Patti
