- - The Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County is holding the second in
its series of affordable, accessible educational seminars. This session,
entitled, “Financial Guidance for Artists & Non-Profits,” will
be held Wednesday, May 10, 2006, 9am – 3:30pm at the County Theater, <u1:Street u2:st="on"><u1:address u2:st="on"><st1:Street
w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">20 E. State Street</st1:address></st1:Street></u1:address></u1:Street>
in <u1:place u2:st="on"><u1:City u2:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City
w:st="on">Doylestown</st1:City></u1:City>, <st1:State w:st="on"><u1:State u2:st="on">Pennsylvania</st1:State></st1:place></u1:State></u1:place>.
Artists and arts, history and cultural organizations in the area are invited --
and encouraged -- to attend. The seminar is free for members of the Arts &
Cultural Council; $15 for individual non-members; and $35 for organization
non-members. <o:p></o:p></p>

attend for a half-day, hearing two speakers discuss “Artists’
Estate Planning” and “Small Business & Tax Issues for
Artists.” Featured speakers, who have generously donated their time for
this event, will be Roberta Barsotti, Vice President and Senior Wealth Planner
with PNC Bank; and Robert H. McLaren, a CPA with McLaren & Company, PC, in <st1:place
w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on"><u1:place u2:st="on"><u1:City u2:st="on">Langhorne</st1:City></u1:City>,

history and cultural organizations will attend a full-day workshop presented by
the nationally recognized Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) entitled, “Assets
At Work: The Balancing Act.” This popular seminar advises non-profits on
improving ways to get and use money. It will address the challenge of
balancing mission, programs, and infrastructure needs with an
organization’s capital structure to help secure long-term viability. In
addition, the Arts & Cultural Council has arranged a reduced registration
rate for this presentation of $35 for non-members (the normal fee is $85 per
person), and free for members, enabling more area organizations to
participate. Registrants are encouraged to also sign up for 15-minute
individual consultations with NFF staff from 3:30pm – 5pm. The Nonprofit
Finance Fund, headquartered in <st1:City w:st="on"><u1:City u2:st="on">New York
City</st1:City></u1:City> with offices around the country, including <st1:City
w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on"><u1:City u2:st="on"><u1:place u2:st="on">Philadelphia</st1:place></st1:City></u1:place></u1:City>,
assists non-profits across the country. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
