<h3>Wheaton glassblowers to perform at Clayton Day</h3>

<p><strong>CLAYTON</strong>--On
May 19 at "Clayton Day" in Little Ease Park, the Clayton Historic
Preservation Inc. with the support of local businesses and individuals
will present Wheaton Arts Volunteer Glassblowers from Noon to 5 p.m.
They will be demonstrating the art of hand blown glassmaking
continuously all day.</p>
<p>Local residents Jim Engleman, Jeff Vanaman and Frank Stubbins will
demonstrate and discuss what is involved in handblowing glass bowls,
pitchers and other items the way they were done over 100 years ago in
Clayton. </p>
<p>There will also be a display on the history of glassblowing - a
tradition in Clayton and the surrounding area for over 100 years - in
the Clayton Historic Museum at the entrance to the park. </p>
At the Clayton Historical Museum for month of May, the displays will
be available for viewing during museum hours. These events are being
arranged to celebrate the 120th anniversary of the Borough of Clayton
being incorporated in 1887. Everyone is invited.
