Yvette sent this to me today, and because the classes below say
registration is on a FCFS (<span lang="en-us"><font
face="Times New Roman">first-come, first-served) basis,<br>
if any PA-NJ Glassblowers are interested in Corning's EXCELLENT
classes, do not procrastinate...<br>
<br>
I also note, for those with children, the one-day workshops allow </font></span><span
lang="en-us"><font face="Times New Roman">children 10 years of age or
older to register.<br>
The youngest I have generally seen from other studios is 13, so this
may be a wonderful potentially life-changing opportunity for a young
person who has expressed an interest in glass art.<br>
This age is not without precedent, since, for example, many famous
Murano/Venice glassblowers, such as Elio Quarisa (who is teaching in
February) started at age 9.<br>
<br>
Speaking of Elio, I have photos of Josh Simpson and Elio Quarisa
working together here:<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.glassblower.info/Josh-Simpson-Contemporary-Glass/Josh-Simpson.html">http://www.glassblower.info/Josh-Simpson-Contemporary-Glass/Josh-Simpson.html</a><br>
and some of my unique Josh Simpson photos have recently been selected
for the front cover of a new Knoxville Museum of Art "Gallery Guide".<br>
