The Glassworks Studio at Salem State University will host open glassblowing
demonstrations by its summer Artists-in-Residence on (four Mondays) July 7,
14, 21, and 28 2014 at 6 p.m. 

 

Admission is free!

 

Artist Miles Van Rensselaer created this piece, Jari-Jari Gelas (Glass
Fingers). 

(Miles spent five years glassblowing at Bucks Country Community College,
from 1999-2004)

Glassblowing demonstrations at Salem State University's Glassworks Studio,
121 Loring Ave., Suite 750, Salem NJ, on Mondays, July 7, 14, 21 and 28 at 6
p.m. 

 

Through the support of Ira and Judy Rosenberg, four glass artists will be in
residence at SSU's second Rosenberg Institute for Passionate and Emerging
Artists for the month of July, living on campus and creating new work in the
university's state-of-the-art glassblowing studio. 

 

The residency provides an opportunity for the artists to fully explore an
idea or a series of ideas in glass, free from economic constraints. It will
allow a pivotal evolution for each artist to find and explore his voice in
the medium of glass.

.       Danny White of Washington state ( http://iamdannywhite.com/ ), 

.       James Labold of Indiana ( http://jameslabold.com/ ), 

.       Joseph Ivacic of Chicago ( http://www.josephivacic.com/ ) and
