Ten years ago in June of 2004 i packed two pieces of glass in my suitcase and debuted Hang Your Glass booth at the Glass Art Society show in New Orleans. The concept to hang your glass was to be able to hang any shape at any angle. To give the glass artist complete freedom to create outside the typical square & round forms. To create 3-D sculpture using many small pieces to make a larger composition or to overlap glass art to create dimension.

 

Over the past 10 years it has been a joy to watch so many talented individuals combining art glass and using the hang your glass hardware.

This composition by Kate MacLeod was truly exquisite. It has been so much fun to watch her develop her own techniques, push the boundaries of glass and wall installations. 


She mostly hung this piece 1 1/2" Super Duty's but then covered the seams of the glass with nesting stand-offs. This also created 3-D movement in the dragons legs.
