Martha Teichner, a CBS Sunday Morning correspondent along with a complete production crew spent an entire day in Paul's studio in Mantua, New Jersey, filming him at work and talking to him about his artistic journey in glass. The segment follows his career from a scientific glass blower to a highly acclaimed artist.

Paul is a resident of Mantua, New Jersey, who uses his glass art form to highlight 

the native flowers that surround his home. CBS Sunday Morning will provide viewers with a rare opportunity to hear Paul tell history and to watch him work in his 

studio. "POETRY IN GLASS: THE ART

  OF PAUL J. STANKARD" 

 

The exhibit celebrates Paul's glass artistry as well as his poetry and writings. Many people may know Paul as an acclaimed international artist and a living master in the art of the paperweight but they might not know that he is also an accomplished author of two books and numerous essays and articles. The exhibit showcases the perfect harmony between Paul's love of nature both within his glass art as well as his writings.

 

The exhibit continues through Sunday, May 3, 2015.

 

The Gallery of Fine Craft, Brownstone Emporium, General Store and Paperweight Shop are open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is free to shop and stroll at WheatonArts except during outdoor special events.
